I’ve been always a big fan of makeup and all sorts of body lotions, body butters and face creams, not mentioning make-up. Just a very regular girl thing, I guess. I have to admit, I am a sucker for nice packaging and I have lots of products I don’t even use (but they look nice on the shelve). In the recent years, my skin has become a bit moody. I turned 30 and as it’s probably not the main source of my problem, I’ve started suffering from minor skin allergies, especially around my eyes area. My skin has started reacting to chemicals and get irritated, being overly dry and just difficult to maintain. I’ve tried many well-known brands but unfortunately, none of them worked for me. Too many chemicals, I guess!
I ended up using a product called Cetaphil as it was the only one which moisturized and did not irritate my skin.
As a result, I’ve started to look into more natural alternatives and focus on products which actually brings some sort of nutritional value to my skin. At the end of the day, I wear make for at least 8 hours, 5 days a week so a good skin care should be a priority.
I’ve also realized that simplicity is the key and the condition of the skin comes not with the products we use but from within our bodies. So better diet and a choice of less chemical skin products and make up, sounds like a good start! It feels good to put an extra effort.
