Hello lovely reader,
I guess we all have our favourite brands or products we like to re-buy over and over, I have a few myself. This blog post will be dedicated to one of this brands which has been with me for a while now and I can’t stop using them for several reasons.
Palmer’s is by far one of the best moisturisers I’ve ever used. I have a very dry skin and finding the product which actually works is pretty hard. I moved away from buying with my eyes and following the trends, the simplicity of the product is the key in this case.
Palmer’s is a US brand and I feel like here in the UK it’s not so popular, although maybe it’s just me. I’m currently using the body lotion, shampoo, hair mask and my “holy grail”, the lip balm. The prices are very affordable and start from £2.00 for a Lip balm up to approx. £8.00 for a body lotion (it might vary between the websites and stores).
So why is it so good?
First of all is packed with good ingredients like coconut oil, vitamin E, sunflower seed oil, cocoa extract and shea butter. The consistency is very thick and that applies to both, the shampoo and the body lotion – I like it! For some reason, my skin absorbs it better. And finally, the smell! The smell is a coconut heaven. Although if you’re not a fun, it’s probably not the best choice, let’s be honest, I usually smell like a human Pina Colada.
All Palmer’s products claim to be:
Paraben free, no Phthalates, no mineral oils, no gluten, no sulfates, no dyes which is great and I like the fact that it’s all written at the very front of the bottle and transparency of the brand.
Coconut Oil Body Lotion
My everyday essential! It’s based on Coconut Oil which hydrates and Tahitian Monoï Oil, infused with Tiaré flower petals used as a skin softener. It contains high levels of naturally occurring fatty acids and proteins which makes the skin super hydrated.
Coconut Oil Lip Balm
That will be my current favourite one. It makes my lips super soft, in fact, even my boyfriend noticed the difference. I have to admit, I’ve caught myself on licking the balm off my lips – its very tasty too! The product has SPF 15 and is containing Vitamine E.
Coconut Oil Conditioning Shampoo (for dry, damaged and coloured hair)
I’m happy with this product so far, again very thick consistency and creamy. It contains keratin protein which strengthens and repairs. There is also a conditioner available but I feel like both products together would be too heavy for my hair due to the milky texture.
Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
The protein hair mask it’s a quick fix, I’d say. It does contain keratin and silk protein which strengthen and repair the hair structure. I could definitely see the difference after using it. I usually keep it for about 20-30 minutes and then rinse it. This mask is also available in the jar for those who will use it more often.
I’ve also had a chance to use their other range with Cocoa butter and it’s as good as the coconut one, no doubts about that. The bonus points for an amazing smell! Enjoy 🙂
