Hello lovely readers,
In this post, I’d like to share my thoughts about 2 products which have become a crucial part of my everyday skin prep routine recently and I can’t imagine not having them around. With all the heat we’ve been having here in UK recently, crazy UV/UVB making an impact on our skin and pollution which is present, I find it crucial to use products which offer UV/UVB broad-spectrum filter every day.
I’ve never taken it into consideration, but protecting the skin against the pollution is the basic of every skin care routine and still very much dismissed by the cosmetic industry.
I have to say, finding a good day cream with an SPF at the reasonable price it’s a challenge. Not many brands do that and it’s a shame, as SPF should be part of everyone’s daily skin routine.
I’ve been using La Roche-Posay Intense with SPF 20 featuring broad-spectrum anti-UVA and UVB sun filters in the morning as a base for my make-up. I’ve never used this range before but I’m very happy with an overall effect. The consistency is milky and super light. It absorbs in seconds and leaves the skin hydrated all day. It has factor 20 which protects the skin against the UV/ UVB (medium protection) and contains Hyaluronic acid which provides the extra hydration. There are no parabens, 100% hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, instead contains La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water which is great for the skin. It’s fantastic products which work perfectly for me and my sin and I would recommend it 100%.

Little UV/UVB cheat sheet (according to British Association of Dermatologist)
|Low protection||6 to 14 (i.e. SPF 6 and 10)|
|Medium protection||15 to 29 (i.e. SPF 15, 20 and 25)|
|High protection||30 to 50 (i.e. SPF 30 and 50)|
|Very high protection||50 + (i.e. SPF 50+)|
The second product which I’ve been using recently is Rosaliac CC Cream also from La Roche-Posay brand. I’m a big fan of BB and CC creams (Complete Correction Cream) in general and this one nicely compliments the skin. Most importantly it has SPF 30 ( high protection) against UV/UVB rays. The consistency is very light, almost silky but not oily. The smell reminds me of lilies, it’s not overpowering and very fresh. Absorbs quickly and blend with the skin in seconds and leave that natural looking finish.
The Rosaliac CC Cream is paraben-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
Approx price: £20.00
